PuntoUP Professional Recruitment is seeking a Fleet Manager for an international automotive group that imports and distributes two emerging SUV brands in Romania through a fast-growing dealer network. This is a business-building role: the company is entering the corporate and fleet segment for the first time on the Romanian market, and needs a commercially sharp professional to open the channel from scratch – from leasing partnerships and corporate clients to rent-a-car operators and public tenders.
Location: Bucharest, Romania – on-site role with extensive travel across the country for client meetings, dealer support, and fleet partner development.
Main Purpose of the Job: Building and scaling the B2B fleet sales channel for two new automotive brands in Romania – establishing partnerships with operational leasing companies, corporate fleet buyers, rent-a-car operators, and public sector entities, while creating the processes, pricing frameworks, and commercial arguments that turn a retail-only brand into a credible fleet contender.
Job Profile:
- Develop and execute the fleet sales strategy for the Romanian market – define target segments (operational leasing, corporate fleets, rent-a-car, public tenders), set priorities, and build the commercial pipeline from zero.
- Establish and manage relationships with key operational leasing companies (Arval, Ayvens/ALD-LeasePlan, Autonom, BCR Fleet Management) to get the brands listed in their vehicle catalogues and recommended to corporate clients.
- Identify, prospect, and convert corporate fleet clients – from mid-size companies to large enterprises – positioning the SUV range as a competitive alternative in TCO, warranty coverage, and technology.
- Develop fleet-specific pricing proposals, discount structures, and volume-based commercial conditions in coordination with the Country Director and regional HQ; present and negotiate offers with fleet decision-makers.
- Build a structured tender and bid process for public sector opportunities – monitor procurement platforms, prepare technical and commercial documentation, ensure compliance with tender requirements.
- Collaborate with the dealer network to support fleet deliveries, registration processes, and aftersales coordination for corporate accounts.
- Work closely with Marketing to develop fleet-targeted materials: TCO comparisons, fleet brochures, case studies, corporate presentations, and digital content for the B2B segment.
- Track fleet sales performance – pipeline, conversion rates, volume by channel and partner – and report monthly to the Country Director and HQ Sales team.
- Monitor the Romanian fleet market: competitor fleet offers, leasing trends, EV/hybrid adoption in corporate fleets, regulatory changes (taxation, deductibility, green incentives) that impact fleet purchasing decisions.
- Represent the brand at fleet industry events, corporate mobility forums, and leasing partner meetings.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fleet sales, B2B automotive sales, or key account management within the automotive industry (OEM, importer, distributor, or leasing company).
- Proven track record of building commercial relationships with leasing companies, corporate clients, or fleet operators in Romania.
- Strong understanding of the Romanian fleet market – operational leasing dynamics, key players, corporate buying behavior, public procurement processes.
- Solid commercial and negotiation skills – comfortable presenting to C-level fleet decision-makers and negotiating volume-based agreements.
- Financial literacy – able to build and discuss TCO models, fleet pricing scenarios, and margin calculations.
- Fluent English (written and spoken) – regular coordination with regional HQ in Hungary; Romanian native.
- Self-starter mentality – this is a channel-building role, not a channel-maintaining one. The right person thrives on building something from scratch.
- Strong CRM discipline – pipeline management, reporting, and follow-up rigor.
- Driving license category B; willingness to travel extensively within Romania.
