PuntoUP Recrutare Profesională is looking for an Accounting Manager on behalf of a fast-growing independent renewable energy producer active across Central and South-Eastern Europe. Based in Bucharest, the role sits at the heart of the company’s Romanian finance operations and connects directly with a senior international team. Location: Bucharest, Romania

Main Purpose of the Job: The Accounting Manager leads the Romanian in-house accounting team and oversees day-to-day financial management of the local entities. Reporting to the Group Head of Accounting and Tax and the Group CFO based in Prague, the role ensures the accuracy of financial records, drives monthly and annual closing procedures, and serves as the key point of contact for local business teams and external authorities on all financial matters.

Profilul jobului:

• Lead and manage the Romanian in-house accounting team on a day-to-day basis.
• Oversee monthly and annual closing procedures and ensure the correctness of financial records.
• Prepare monthly reporting packages for IFRS consolidation purposes.
• Provide support for standalone and group audits.
• Coordinate external reviews of VAT and CIT returns and manage fiscal compliance.
• Coordinate the monthly payroll process.
• Manage fiscal audits and controls, liaising with local authorities.
• Oversee complex bookings such as IFRS 16 entries in SAP.
• Act as the point of contact for the local business and engineering teams on financial matters.
• Participate in Group-wide internal projects, including SAP expansion initiatives.
• Manage external accounting and advisory relationships for selected entities.

Profil Candidat:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a managerial role, leading a team of accountants.
• Experience with SAP 4 Hana Cloud Public or SAP in general is highly preferable.
• Background in renewable energy, real estate, or infrastructure is a strong advantage.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• Excellent knowledge of Romanian GAAP and fiscal compliance requirements.
• Solid proficiency in Excel.
• Strong management and stakeholder communication skills.
• Advanced English proficiency — the working language of the group.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously; resilient and proactive approach.
