Position: Credit & Collection Officer
Location: Ciorogârla, Ilfov County
Working model: Hybrid (up to 10 days/month remote)
Main Purpose of the Job
The Credit & Collection Officer is responsible for managing credit risk exposure, ensuring timely debt collection, maintaining customer relationships, and supporting compliance processes, while
Job Profile
- Deliver high efficiency and performance while ensuring high quality standards and company protocols when contacting customers past due (phone, email, chat).
- Negotiate and motivate customers to repay outstanding debts.
- Identify reasons for payment delays and propose settlement solutions.
- Monitor payment agreements continuously.
- Perform credit assessment and analysis.
- Propose and approve credit limits within the assigned authority.
- Manage credit limit proposals and obtain proper approvals.
- Initiate legal action when customers fail to fulfill payment obligations.
- Respond to customer queries.
- Liaise with lawyers and insurance agencies to facilitate debt recovery.
- Support Anti-Money Laundering processes and compliance activities.
- Demonstrate understanding of collections processes, legislation & regulations, market trends and industry best practices.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Collections Officer or in a similar role.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Familiarity with debt collection laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of payment plans and accounting procedures.
- Proficiency in office and accounting software.
- Patience and resilience.
- Good English language skills.
