PuntoUP Professional Recruitment is looking for an experienced and driven Senior Accountant for its client, a well-established international company in the construction sector. Location: On-site – Bucharest 

Main Purpose of the Job: To manage the full accounting and tax cycle, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, coordinate with internal departments and external consultants, and support the Group’s consolidated financial operations.

Job Profile:

• Record primary documents according to accounting and tax procedures established by the company
• Analyze accounts monthly prior to closing, including provisions, fixed assets, and inventory.
• Prepare and submit all tax declarations, including VAT, corporate tax, intrastat, and other statutory reports.
• Prepare and submit monthly SAF-T (D406), financial reports (quarterly, half-yearly, annual).
• Assist in annual audit preparation and adjust Trial Balance as per auditor recommendations.
• Maintain relationships with tax and accounting consultants and ensure compliance with group-level accounting policies.
• Manage day-to-day activities of the accounting team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with all departments internally and report to the CFO.
• Use WizPro accounting software – knowledge is an advantage.
  

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar accounting position.
• Proven expertise in Romanian accounting, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
• Experience in the construction sector is a strong plus.
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of WizPro or similar accounting software is a plus.
• Strong coordination, reporting, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working on-site full-time.
