Sales Account Representative

PuntoUP Professional Recruitment is supporting one of its partners in the metal constructions industry in the search for a Sales Account Representative with a strong commercial mindset and an interest in technical-industrial projects.

The company specializes in the design, manufacturing, delivery, and installation of steel structures and operates both locally (~60%) and internationally (~40%).

Location: Home Office – Bucharest or nearby areas (Pitesti, Ploiesti, Buzau, etc.)

Main Purpose of the Job: To manage the full commercial cycle—prospecting, offering, and contract execution—while contributing to business development and ensuring successful delivery of ongoing projects.

Job Profile:

Prospecting & Relationship Development

  • Initiates and conducts market research, promotion activities, and lead-generation campaigns.
  • Prepares communication materials for outreach and proposes participation in relevant industry events, fairs, and exhibitions.
  • Identifies opportunities within public procurement platforms (e.g., SEAP or others).
  • Contributes to the creation of promotional materials for allocated product groups.
  • Initiates contact with prospects and clients via email, phone, meetings, and social media channels.
  • Qualifies opportunities based on Budget – Need – Timing criteria.
  • Builds and develops long-term relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Ensures follow-up and collection of requests for quotations.

Offering & Contracting

  • Receives and registers opportunities/requests for quotation in the CRM system, ensuring all essential details are accurately recorded.
  • Performs a preliminary review of customer requirements and clarifies technical or commercial questions with the client.
  • Examines technical documentation such as specifications, structural plans, architectural drawings, and material lists.
  • Plans and follows up on the preparation of commercial offers, communicating timeline changes when necessary.
  • Provides internal departments with complete and accurate documentation for analysis; obtains translations when needed.
  • Reviews offers received from suppliers/subcontractors regarding scope, technical specifications, and availability.
  • Prepares, submits, and tracks commercial offers, ensuring feedback is collected and properly logged in the CRM.
  • Analyses technical and commercial conditions and summarizes customer requirements for management.

Contract Execution

  • Prepares contract/order validation forms and sends launch notifications to the relevant internal departments.
  • Monitors contract execution to ensure deadlines, quality, and scope are met, escalating risks when needed.
  • Processes work statements for fabrication and subcontracted activities.
  • Prepares financial documentation (payment statements, invoicing notes) and monitors due payments.
  • Ensures consistent internal communication, documentation traceability, and information flow.
  • Finalizes executed contracts by evaluating achievement of scope, timelines, quality, and financial results.
  • Conducts customer satisfaction surveys and collects recommendation letters when applicable.

Candidate Profile:

  • Basic understanding of technical documentation review (plans, drawings, material lists, specifications).
  • Familiarity with steel types and materials used in metal constructions is an advantage.
  • Strong ability to understand customer needs and communicate requirements internally.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and process-oriented mindset.
  • Previous experience in technical sales is a plus.
  • Good command of English and proficiency in MS Office.
