Job Purpose:

The Head of SEO will lead the SEO department, overseeing internal operations, team performance, and strategic alignment across projects. While this role is not responsible for direct client management or sales, it involves strategic participation in key client meetings alongside the CEO, contributing SEO expertise and insights. This Head of SEO Bucharest role requires extensive knowledge in the field.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bucharest, offering the chance to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment with access to impactful, high-level projects. The Head of SEO Bucharest position demands hands-on expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the SEO team, organizing regular meetings to review client portfolios, track performance, and align on strategic actions.
• Drive initiatives to improve SEO results across projects by setting clear goals, providing guidance, and sharing best practices.
• Conduct regular performance reviews with team members, offering feedback and helping them grow both technically and professionally. Our Head of SEO Bucharest will lead this process effectively.
• Join strategic meetings with large clients (alongside the CEO) to provide expert input, without having direct client management responsibilities. The Head of SEO Bucharest does not handle direct client interactions.
• Ensure knowledge-sharing within the team and stay up to date with the latest SEO developments.
• Represent the company at industry events, panels, or webinars — openness to public exposure
• Be actively present in the office — this is an on-site role that values daily collaboration and team presence. The Head of SEO Bucharest must collaborate effectively onsite.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of SEO experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or team coordination role. This experience is crucial for the Head of SEO Bucharest role.
• Strong expertise in all SEO areas: technical, on-page, off-page, and content strategy.
• Great communication and team management skills, with the ability to lead with clarity and empathy.
• Comfortable contributing in high-level meetings with clients, even without holding client ownership.
• Proactive, strategic thinker with a hands-on attitude and a performance-driven mindset.
